Event: The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a “pre-cyclone watch” for Kolkata and nearby districts. Heavy rains and wind are likely to intensify in the state of West Bengal and may cause flooding. Consequently, the U.S. Consulate General Kolkata will be closed to the public on Thursday, October 24 & Friday, October 25.
